Place & Vines
  • Vineyards in Passopisciaro and Montelaguardia on Etna's northern slope.
  • Sites range from 650 to 800 metres in elevation.
  • Vines average approximately 15-20 years of age.
  • A three-hectare vineyard-garden integrates vines, century-old olive trees and fruit trees within traditional stone walls.
Vinification
  • Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts.
  • Stainless-steel vinification protects red-fruit purity and volcanic definition.
  • A restrained cellar approach keeps the focus on site, freshness and drinkability.
Aging Style

Eighteen months in stainless steel followed by six months in bottle. The oak-free élevage preserves transparency, salinity and the naturally fine-grained structure of the Nerello varieties.

Wine Profile

Transparent, brilliant ruby. Strawberry and raspberry meet mandarin freshness, mineral notes, white chocolate and accents of pepper and cardamom. The palate is very fresh and thirst-quenching, with harmonious tannin and a clean, saline finish.

Key Factors
  • A classic north-Etna blend led by Nerello Mascalese.
  • High-elevation fruit provides lift, freshness and aromatic clarity.
  • Steel-only aging emphasizes the wine's red fruit and volcanic salinity.
