Place & Vines

Pelaverga Piccolo planted by Olek's grandfather in Roncagliette, on compact blue calcareous marl. It is a singular parcel: the variety is overwhelmingly associated with Verduno, making this one of the very few established plantings beyond its traditional commune.

Vinification

The fruit is fully destemmed and fermented spontaneously, using stainless steel or concrete according to the vintage. Roughly two weeks on skins provides color and aromatic definition while maintaining the grape's naturally delicate structure.

Aging

A short, neutral élevage - typically in steel, concrete and/or seasoned barrel - keeps the focus on Pelaverga's perfume and crunch. The wine is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfur.

Profile

Bright and deeply red-fruited, with strawberry, sour cherry, florals, wild herbs and a subtle pepper-and-anise accent. The palate is light on its feet yet distinctly mineral, finishing fresh, savory and quietly complex.
