Place & Terroir

Bougros occupies the western end of the Chablis Grand Cru hillside. Its roughly 15-hectare climat combines a broad southwest-facing upper terrace with a steeper south-facing lower slope. The site is sheltered from wind and receives abundant sun.

Soils & Exposure

The hillside soils are naturally draining and relatively poor, while the upper terrace becomes deeper and progressively richer in clay and marl. This geological variation underpins Bougros' characteristic combination of breadth, refined power and mineral length.

Vinification & Aging

Pascal Robin works principally with hand-picked fruit and indigenous yeasts. Following the house style, the wine is raised on its fine lees in stainless steel and seasoned oak for 10 to 18 months, with minimal intervention and cellar work guided by the lunar calendar.

Profile

Bougros is the most powerful and sun-drenched expression in the range, yet it retains the elegance and intense minerality expected of Grand Cru Chablis. Broad and persistent, it is structured for development and gains complexity with extended bottle age.
