Place & Vintage
  • Produced from the 41-hectare Château Haut-Batailley estate in Pauillac.
  • Fine Garonne gravel over clay subsoil provides drainage with underlying water retention.
  • A very cold winter was followed by an exceptionally hot, dry and sunny summer.
  • Despite water stress, the varieties reached full maturity in excellent sanitary condition.
Harvest & Selection
  • Grapes were harvested entirely by hand.
  • Selection took place first in the vineyard and again at the sorting table.
  • The average appellation yield was approximately 34 hectolitres per hectare.
  • The producer does not publish detailed fermentation parameters for this cuvée.
Aging Style

Twelve months in one-year-old barrels. Previously used oak allows the wine to gain polish, spice and textural integration while keeping the generous 2022 fruit and Pauillac freshness at the center.

Wine Profile

Ruby with violet highlights. The nose is expressive, combining red and black fruits. Round, fruity and well balanced on the palate, with velvety tannins, hints of spice and remarkable freshness despite the warm, concentrated vintage.

Key Factors
  • A Merlot-led Pauillac blend with Cabernet Sauvignon structure.
  • A sun-filled, concentrated vintage balanced by notable freshness.
  • One-year-old barrels frame the wine without overwhelming its fruit.
