Place & Vines
  • Fruit comes from the La Combotte sector of Pommard.
  • A 0.18-hectare parcel with southwest exposure.
  • Approximately 35-year-old vines rooted in Jurassic Oxfordian marl.
  • Harvested September 8, 2023.
Vinification
  • Fruit was sorted in the vineyard and again in the cellar.
  • The grapes were destemmed and vatted directly.
  • A five-day pre-fermentation cold maceration preceded spontaneous fermentation.
  • Total vatting lasted three weeks; no fining was carried out.
Aging Style

Twelve months in oak barrels, with 25% new wood. The élevage supports Pommard's dark fruit and firm structure while the natural fermentation and careful extraction preserve freshness.

Wine Profile

Intense ruby in color, opening with blackberry and black cherry alongside undergrowth and spice. The palate is structured and fresh, with firm tannins and a long, persistent finish.

Key Factors
  • Jurassic marl and a warm southwest exposure underpin depth and structure.
