Place & Vines

  • Approximately 50-year-old Pinot Noir vines.
  • Southeast exposure on limestone-and-clay soils.
  • Harvested September 18, 2023; certified organic viticulture.
Vinification
  • Fruit was sorted in the vineyard and cellar, then fully destemmed.
  • A five-day pre-fermentation cold maceration preceded spontaneous fermentation.
  • Vatting lasted three weeks.
  • The wine was not fined.
Aging Style

Twelve months in oak barrels, 20% new. Restrained oak and low-intervention handling allow the old vines to deliver concentration and texture while maintaining Santenay's natural freshness.

Wine Profile
