Place & Vines

A historic Grand Cru founded by the monks of Bèze. The domaine works 1.0136 hectares of very old vines, a rare parcel whose age and concentration underpin one of the estate's most complete wines.

Viticulture

The domaine farms biodynamically and uses no synthetic products in the vineyard. Work is directed toward healthy, balanced fruit and an unforced expression of each climat.

Vinification

Hand-harvested fruit is fermented as whole bunches with indigenous yeasts. The domaine works without synthetic cellar inputs or added sulfites and uses gravity rather than pumps.

Élevage

The wine is matured in barrel in the same restrained house style used across the range. The producer does not publish a fixed élevage duration or new-oak percentage for this cuvée.

Profile

Complex and generous, combining freshness and concentration with fine, velvety tannins. The domaine presents it as a mythical expression with both power and uncommon smoothness.
