Place & Vines

The domaine's 0.6236-hectare parcel lies in the Clos de Vougeot's prized 'terroir royal.' Plantings date from 1929, 1949 and 1969, giving a layered old-vine foundation within this Cistercian Grand Cru.

Viticulture

The domaine farms biodynamically and uses no synthetic products in the vineyard. Work is directed toward healthy, balanced fruit and an unforced expression of each climat.

Vinification

Hand-harvested fruit is fermented as whole bunches with indigenous yeasts. The domaine works without synthetic cellar inputs or added sulfites and uses gravity rather than pumps.

Élevage

The wine is matured in barrel in the same restrained house style used across the range. The producer does not publish a fixed élevage duration or new-oak percentage for this cuvée.

Profile

Powerful, direct and architectural, with the estate describing a clean, 'square' form and a distinctly Cistercian spirit. The old vines bring breadth without sacrificing definition.
