Place & Vines

A Chardonnay from approximately 30-year-old vines. From 2011 through 2020 the domaine made an unusual whole-bunch macerated Vin de France; since 2021 it has returned to classic Burgundian white-wine production under Coteaux Bourguignons AOC.

Viticulture

The domaine farms biodynamically and uses no synthetic products in the vineyard. Work is directed toward healthy, balanced fruit and an unforced expression of each climat.

Vinification

Since 2021, the Chardonnay is vinified in a more classic Burgundian white-wine style with indigenous yeasts and no added sulfites. This replaces the whole-bunch macerated approach used for the 2011-2020 Vin de France releases.

Élevage

Élevage follows the domaine's restrained house approach. The producer does not publish a fixed vessel split, duration or new-oak percentage for this cuvée.

Profile

Fresh, savory and mineral, with lively Chardonnay fruit and a more classical line than the earlier macerated releases. The current style emphasizes brightness, drinkability and regional clarity.
