Les Suchots is one of Vosne-Romanée's largest and most celebrated Premier Cru climats. Domaine Prieuré Roch works 1.02 hectares, planted approximately five decades ago, within the climat's 13.08 hectares.
The domaine farms biodynamically and uses no synthetic products in the vineyard. Work is directed toward healthy, balanced fruit and an unforced expression of each climat.
Hand-harvested fruit is fermented as whole bunches with indigenous yeasts. The domaine works without synthetic cellar inputs or added sulfites and uses gravity rather than pumps.
The wine is matured in barrel in the same restrained house style used across the range. The producer does not publish a fixed élevage duration or new-oak percentage for this cuvée.
Supple and silky, offering the classic harmony of Vosne-Romanée with a consistency the domaine highlights across vintages. Fine tannins and aromatic lift carry a poised, lingering finish.
A one-hectare old-vine holding in a benchmark Premier Cru, supple, silky and classically Vosne.
