A blend of roughly 30 south and southeast-facing parcels, including sites around Les Monts Damnés, Cous de Brault and Chêne Marchand. The vines average 15 to 20 years and unite the three principal soil families of Sancerre.
Approximately 45% Terres Blanches contributes richness and body; 45% Caillottes brings finesse and fruit; and 10% Silex adds verve, openness and a flinty mineral accent. Together they create the domaine's historical, representative Sancerre blanc.
Certified organic since 2023. Cover crops are maintained through about 60% of the Sauvignon Blanc vineyard, with under-vine hoeing and severe de-budding to control yields. The 2024 fruit was harvested by hand from September 26 through October 6.
Intact grapes travel by conveyor into pneumatic presses to limit oxidation and crushing. Slow fermentation takes place at 16-20°C in temperature-controlled tanks. The wine matures on its lees and does not undergo malolactic fermentation; the producer does not state a cellar-élevage duration.
White fruit and citrus lead the aromatics. The palate combines vivacity with richness and a full-bodied mid-palate, then finishes fresh, refined and long, with a lightly saline note that recalls the wine's diverse Sancerre origins.
Three classic Sancerre soils come together in one complete, fresh and quietly saline Sauvignon Blanc.
