A terroir cuvée drawn from well-exposed parcels of flint and siliceous clay. The warm exposure supports consistent maturity, while the silex-rich ground gives the wine its characteristic mineral precision. The vines average approximately 30 years.
The estate's entire production has been certified organic since 2023. Vines are pruned to simple Guyot, and the 2024 Sauvignon Blanc was harvested by hand on September 20 at a balance of maturity and freshness.
Intact grapes are moved by conveyor into pneumatic presses, limiting oxidation and avoiding unnecessary crushing. The gentle handling is designed to preserve fruit clarity and the transparent expression of the flinty soils.
Fermentation proceeds slowly at 16-20°C in temperature-controlled tanks to retain Sauvignon Blanc's natural aromatics. The attached producer sheet does not specify the subsequent élevage vessel or duration, so no unsupported aging detail has been added.
The nose opens on ripe yellow fruit with grapefruit adding lift and freshness. Rich and full-bodied on the palate, it remains poised and elegant, finishing fresh, persistent and distinctly mineral in the classic style of Sancerre grown on silex.
Flint and siliceous clay give this ripe, full-bodied Sauvignon Blanc a fresh and mineral finish.
