Bricco Paradiso comes from Agliano Terme, an important Barbera village in the Monferrato hills. The vineyard soils combine clay, sandstone marl and sand, giving Barbera both generosity and a fresh structural backbone.
The estate's Bricco Paradiso-Roche holdings occupy a well-exposed hill in southern Agliano Terme. The vines are harvested manually, allowing the cellar to select intact, mature Barbera fruit while preserving the variety's naturally high acidity.
The grapes are destemmed and crushed before fermentation in stainless steel. After pressing and racking, the wine remains in stainless steel for four to six months, building integration before its longer maturation in wood.
Élevage continues for twelve to fourteen months in 225-liter barriques. The smaller oak format adds spice, balsamic lift and a measured vanilla note while Barbera's acidity keeps the wine energetic and defined.
Intense ruby red with bright red reflections. Red fruit, citrus, balsamic and vanilla notes lead to a full-bodied, intense and persistent palate with excellent acidity. Serve at 16°C with game and aged cheeses.
A structured, barrique-shaped Barbera whose ripe red fruit is energized by Agliano's naturally vivid acidity.
