Heritage

The wine carries the name of Pietro Forno, who began producing and selling Moscato in Santo Stefano Belbo in 1940. The Forno family continues this tradition through Tenuta Il Falchetto, now led by the family's fourth generation.

Place & Terroir

The Canelli zone links historic Moscato sites around Santo Stefano Belbo and Calosso d'Asti. Shallow sandy soils, sandstone and compact marl are rich in silt and limestone, supporting aromatic intensity, freshness and fine mineral definition.

Vineyard

Moscato Bianco is harvested by hand. The estate manages its vineyards manually from pruning through harvest and follows a sustainable farming model without herbicides or insecticides, focusing closely on grape quality and balanced yields.

Vinification

Fermentation takes place in a closed pressurized tank, retaining the wine's delicate natural bubbles. The fermentation is stopped before all grape sugar is converted, preserving Moscato's signature sweetness, low alcohol and fresh aromatic character.

Profile & Pairing

Pale straw to lemon yellow with a gentle mousse. Rose, jasmine, grape, pear, peach, green apple, citrus and sage lead to a sweet, creamy and balanced palate. Serve at 6-8°C with fruit, hazelnut cake, panettone, blue cheese or as an aperitivo.
