WK Wines is the estate label of Audeant Wines, founded in 2016 in Oregon’s Willamette Valley by proprietor Teal Walker and winemaker Andrew Riechers. Riechers trained at Domaine Naudin-Ferrand in Burgundy and spent five years as assistant winemaker at Antica Terra before starting the house.
Audeant works unirrigated, organically farmed vineyards at high elevation. Gatewood Vineyard, the estate site on Parrett Mountain near Newberg, rises to 1,100 feet. It was planted in 2018 to Coury, 943 and 667 clones and gave its first harvest in 2024.
That harvest became the first WK Pinot Noir: destemmed, fermented cool over sixteen days, raised fourteen months in neutral French oak, bottled unfined and unfiltered — forty-nine cases in the first vintage. It stands beside Audeant’s single-vineyard wines from Nysa, Luminous Hills and Stardance as the first bottling from the house’s own ground.
